Mr. K. Ramesh Kumar is the Founder Director and current Chairman of ABS Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd. He is a successful businessman having more than 25 years of commercial experience. Unik Traders (Pvt) Ltd, a company import construction materials, source & supply for projects and Global Alliance (Pvt) Ltd, company manufactures and distributes hydro turbines, penstock pipes, power transmission products are the other two business entities that Mr. Ramesh Kumar serves as the Chairman. He is a graduate of University of Madras in Commerce and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

He is the Chief Executive Officer of ABS Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd and he also brings with him a wealth of 27 years of international experience working with Lanka Communication (Pvt) Ltd, Eureka Technology Partners (Pvt) Ltd, Uni Walkers Limited, and GTE Directories Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Before assuming the duties as CEO of ABS, he was the Director Operations at Eureka Technology Partners (Pvt) Ltd which is Sri Lanka’s second largest ISP with an annual turnover of Rs 100Mn.

He is the Head of Sales & Marketing of ABS Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd since February 2010. He earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Master of Business Studies (MBS) degree from the University of Colombo. He brings a wealth of over 10 years experience working with Lapro Technologies (Pvt) Ltd (formerly Kobian Technologies), Sumathi Newspapers (Pvt) Ltd, and People’s Action for Free & Fair Elections (PAFFREL). He is holding memberships of three premier professional bodies in the country which as a Member of Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL), as a Certified Member of Sri Lanka Institute Marketing (SLIM), and as an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM).

He joined with ABS Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd as the Head of Customer Support in January 2008. He earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He has served as the Sales & Marketing Consultant and Sales & Marketing Manager at Bartercard Lanka (Pvt) Ltd which has more than 75,000 trading members worldwide. Before joining with ABS he was the Trading Consultant at TG Resources SDN BHD that does the business of Forex Trading in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

He plays the role of the Head of Software Development at ABS. He has been involved in the Information Technology sector for over 10 years and specialized on software application development using Microsoft technology platforms. He obtained his professional qualifications from City & Guilds in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He also has a Master of Science in Information Technology at Keele University UK. Before joining with ABS, he has served at many software companies such as SpringFields (Pvt) Ltd, InforCraft Limited, Toppan Forms (Colombo) Ltd, Innodata Isogen, Gateway Consultancy Services & iOM Developments (Pvt.) Ltd.
